What year did you join JNR?  2005

Where did you go to college? Undergrad at South Carolina and Master’s at Clemson University

Why did you choose Jarrard, Nowell & Russell? I was one of the founders of the firm back in 2005. It sort of chose me.

What is your specialty at JNR? I specialize in serving professional service firms such as doctors, dentists, lawyers, veterinarians, architects, and retail. Retail comes from my days in the grocery industry and professional service has developed while at JNR.

What do you enjoy most about living in Charleston? As a native South Carolinian, I love this state and this area. Of course, it is the weather, but it is also the people and culture.

What movie do you recommend to others and why?  Smokey and the Bandit. This lighthearted, comical movie is one that I just have enjoyed since I was a kid. I guess it reminds me of some great memories from growing up in the south and the various characters you run across.

What interesting fact would you most like your readers to know about you? I started in Big 4 public accounting, went into corporate America, and came back to a local accounting firm. This gave me the ability to service clients and help them with matters they don’t see but a few rare instances in their career. This is what I enjoy the most—just simply helping people.

What do you like to do most in your free time? I like to unplug and unwind by going to the mountains with my family. There is a simple pleasure about hiking and enjoying the scenery, and there is much enjoyment that comes from just getting away and having quality family time.
