Bill Jarrard Named among Charleston’s Forty Under 40
Charleston, S.C.– William H. Jarrard, principal at accounting and business advisory firm Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC, has been named one of the region’s top business achievers under the age of 40. The annual Forty Under 40 award was presented by the Charleston Regional Business Journal at an event May 17 at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston.
As a principal at Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, Jarrard utilizes his extensive corporate financial management experience in working with individuals and small- to mid-sized businesses in the area. Prior to forming the firm, he served as chief financial officer at Young Pecan, the world’s largest producer of pecans, and as vice president and controller at Charleston-based Cameron & Barkley. Additionally, he served as assistant controller for Bi-Lo Inc. and later as director of retail accounting for Ahold USA, the parent company for Bi-Lo and four other grocery chains, and as a senior auditor with a Big Four accounting firm.
A 36-year-old South Carolina native and certified public accountant, Jarrard earned a master’s degree in professional accountancy from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina. He serves on the finance committee for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
