Russell Named Treasurer of Lowcountry Local First

CHARLESTON, SC – February 24, 2011 – William A. Russell III, principal of Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC, a Charleston-based accounting and business advisory firm, has been named treasurer of Lowcountry Local First’s board of directors. He is also a member of the new executive committee.

A certified public accountant, Russell has over 20 years of experience in accounting and corporate financial management, having held management positions with Cameron & Barkley Company, Hagemeyer International, and Marsh & McLennan. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA).
Lowcountry Local First (LLF), headquartered in North Charleston, S.C., is the 44th member organization in a national network of non-profits called the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, which is dedicated to strengthening local economies.
