Charleston, S.C. – William A. Russell, III, CPA and partner with Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC (JNR), a Charleston-based accounting and business advisory firm, has been elected to serve a three-year term as treasurer and corporate secretary on the South Carolina Captive Insurance Agency (SCCIA) board.

 

Russell, who began his career as director of treasury and risk management for Hagemeyer North America, Inc., holds over 15 years of experience in corporate financial management and captive insurance management. His experience includes the design and implementation of treasury systems, alternative financing structures, and cash flow modeling, in addition to working with over 30 clients in the captive insurance management industry with assets in excess of $500 million. Prior to the opening of Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, he served as assistance vice president with Marsh Management Services, Inc., (a division of Marsh & McLennan).

 

A certified public accountant, Russell earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clemson University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and serves on the Charleston Regional Development Alliance Board of Directors.
